There will be a baptism service on 24th November.  If anyone else is considering being baptised,  please speak to Martin.

Harvest Appeal

Thanks to everyone who donated to our Harvest Appeal this year for BMS World Mission's "South Sudan Conflict Survivors" appeal. I'm delighted to say that between us we've raised £842.90, and they'll be able to roughly £90 on top of this through Gift Aid! Thank you!

There is a donations box,  on the table in the lounge,  for filler gifts for the Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Child Shoeboxes.  There are lists on reception for suggested gifts/fillers,  or you can give Pauline a donation towards costs etc.  Please pick up a leaflet for more information.

The Shoebox Processing Centre will be here on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday,  starting at 10am each day.  Please speak to Pauline for more information.

Mission Partners

We have a new letter from our BMS World Mission partners in Afghanistan - see Ineke if you would like a copy

Church Meeting

The Agenda for the November Church Meeting is now available.  These will be distributed through emails,  or via homegroup/care group leaders.

The cut off date for the communal card will be 2nd December. If you want something included in it,  please let Evelyn know as soon as you can. They will be printed for the following Sunday.

The Christmas card post box will be available from 2nd December for sorting and collections on 8th & 15th December. Please only use this facility for those regularly attending the church, include surnames on the envelopes, and if you are putting a number of cards in the box in one go, please sort them into alphabetical order and put an elastic band round them.

The Christmas publicity will be available for the beginning of December.

There will only be one service on 29th December at 10.30am led by Tony Nelson.

The Broadway Christmas lights Saturday 23rd November

This year we are combining our efforts with our friends at All Saints to share the true meaning of Christmas with our community and you are invited to be a part of it!

Nigel Straker's Home group are busy putting together some fun gift bags to giveaway to the children. They are also providing some arts and crafts along with some free hot chocolate to help keep the parents warm. We will need help putting up the gazebos, Christmas lights and setting up our stalls generally. We also need help engaging with the community and giving away information on the Christmas services and Alpha course starting in January.

Set up is from 1pm with the event starting at 2pm, finishing around 4.30pm with the official lights switch on.

We would also be very grateful for tubs of chocolate to be donated (Roses, Heroes, Celebrations, etc) so we can offer these out to those who visit the stall. Please could these be left with Evelyn at the church or given to Nigel.
