Sunday Kids Groups

 Who We Are

Our children are very important to us as we believe that they are a gift from God to us.  We take seriously the provision of a safe and caring environment in which we can encourage them to learn Bible stories and about Christian values for their lives in a fun and relaxed way.  Our Sunday Groups are for all members' and visitors' children up to the age of 14 years and meet every Sunday morning at the same time as the main worship service from 10.30am.  We aim to provide a range of fast moving, interesting and age relevant stories and activities in each group.

What We Do

The crèche is available for babies and toddlers  up to the age of 3 years where a lot of age-appropriate toys and books are provided under close adult supervision.

The older children are given the opportunity to explore stories from the Bible and learn about Jesus in various groups according to their ages.

Children from age 3 to 11 yrs enjoy singing, stories, crafts, games and quizzes as they learn about the Bible.  As they grow, they start to explore how these stories can mean something for them and how they can develop a relationship with God.

Lazers is for ages 11 - 14yrs.  Our Sunday mornings are very fast moving with a mixture of games, Bible teaching, discussion, prayer and other ways of learning about who God is and what it means to be in a relationship with Him.  Lazers also meets on alternate Saturdays for social activities, either at the church or out and about.

Occasionally we hold a Messy Church session where we explore a story in the Bible in a very messy way!  We have paint, glue, glitter, clay and water.  The messier the better!  We also enjoy singing, drama and creative prayer.

Identity  is for young people in year 9 and over.  We currently meet on a Sunday evening to worship and look at the relevance of the Bible to our lives.  Some of us have formed a youth band and there is the chance to practise and play on various occasions including at ATFX - our youth service held on the first Sunday evening of each month.

Child Protection Policy

The church subscribes to the Baptist Union ‘Safe to Grow’ policy for children.   All staff and helpers working with the children are fully CRB checked and approved before working with any children.
