Identity

Recognising that life can be tough for teenagers, Identity is our teenage, midweek group which is primarily aimed at equipping young people in an informal way to understand and live lives of Christian values.

We aim to provide a time of worship and biblical teaching and deal with issues that young people will encounter during their everyday lives at school, college or work. We provide a comfortable and relaxed environment where our young people can ask their difficult questions, talk about their struggles and receive encouragement and support. We believe that relationships within the group are important so we also include an active social programme.

Identity meets every Wednesday between 7 & 9pm. Drinks and snacks are always provided.

All young people from school year 9 onwards are welcome, whether Christian or not.

Youth Led Services

Identity is also the name of our Sunday youth led services at Heathervale, which are the natural extension of the aims and objectives of Identity midweek group. Identity is a service for all ages with a youth orientation. The Services are put together and led by the young people with various guest speakers and worship led by the Youth Band.

Within the Identity services our young people meet together to worship God and are free to pray and praise amongst their own peer group. Biblical teaching is given, dealing with the tough issues that young people encounter with the subjects chosen by the young people.

The services empower our young people in worship and leadership and to strengthen their walk with God, equipping them to hold on to and stand up for their Christian values.

Identity services are held the last Sunday of every other month through the year (Feb, April, June etc.)

Everyone is welcome to attend our Identity services.

Unite Youth Services

On alternate months when there is no Identity service, we attend the Unite Youth services where we join with young people from other local churches and denominations and are united in worship and biblical teaching. The services are held in and led by the various churches that come together to form Unite so there is a wide range of styles and activities. The Churches that contribute to Unite are All Saints New Haw, Heathervale New Haw, St Mary's Byfleet and Church of the Good Shepherd Pyrford.
